On September 6-9, Expo Center Norte will be hosting another Beauty Fair. In 2025, the fair is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and to mark this historic edition, the Beauty Fair program will feature unmissable events from over 2,000 exhibiting brands.
In partnership with Beautycare Brazil, a sectoral project carried out jointly by the Brazilian Association of the Cosmetics, Toiletries and Fragrances Industry (ABIHPEC) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), Beauty Fair will be featuring 30 buyers from Latin America. Of those 30, 10 were invited by Beautycare Brazil.
In addition to being a great opportunity to engage in networking, as well as attending lectures, conferences, and workshops, exhibiting brands have the opportunity to carry out business deals, including targeting the international market. To act as a bridge and a facilitator, Beauty Fair will be hosting business roundtables for exporting brands – or those with expansion plans – during the four days of the fair, boosting the performance of the Brazilian beauty industry.
Buyers will meet with representatives of Brazilian brands for 30-minute meetings so that each company can present its product portfolio and expansion plan, in addition to meeting buyers.
The 2024 edition of Beauty Fair featured 24 buyers and 92 participating Brazilian companies, including: 62% specializing in hair products, 29% in skincare products, 28% in beauty products, and 25% in natural products. A total of 54% targeted the semi-prestige market, while 50.8% targeted the mass market.
Last year’s business roundtables resulted in 702 meetings and 387 companies contacted with a focus on the LATAM market. All buyers consisted of cosmetics importers/distributors for the professional and retail channels, specialty cosmetics stores, pharmacy chains, importers of perfumery and cosmetics products, importers of accessories and products for beauty salons, and finally, supermarkets.
In 2025, the focus of the business roundtables will continue to be Latin America, with guest buyers from Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, Panama, Uruguay, and Costa Rica.
Beauty Fair’s focus on Latin America countries is a result of the strong growth represented by this area in the global beauty sector. Data from Circana, a global data technology company specializing in the consumer behavior analysis, shows that, in 2024, Latin America exceeded the milestone of 30% growth, reinforcing the strength of local markets, particularly Mexico and Brazil. This growth is driven by innovation, increased consumption of skincare, hair care products, multifunctional products, and a greater demand from Latin American consumers for quality and personalized products.
“Business roundtables are a great opportunity for domestic brands looking to export and expand their businesses. They are also a way to increasingly position the Brazilian market as a benchmark in the sector,” said Patrizia Battaglia, New Business Manager of Beauty Fair CO.
